Yes and no. He was a great hitter and very entertaining (i.e. when he jumped up and high-fived a fan after catching a fly-ball and then throws a guy out etc.) but at the same time always seemed too moody about playing in Boston or not or playing at all and thats never what you need in the dugout to help team cohesiveness. It always bothered me too when he would stand and watch the ball after he hit it instead of running to first base, that's gonna bite him in the ass one day and I'm glad it won't be in Boston. | |
