it wasn't a cop thou, it was some security dude, that i thought was some other dude that lived where i was partying, and then the buddys place i was at said that there was a violation in their mailbox for 100 bucks for "two people urinating from your apartment last night", so i guess we'll pry pay 50 bucks each, but might just say fuck um ahah

I heard a rumor that they pushed it back 5 days to add another map to the beta.

that would make up for it....but i wont get my hopes up

That would make no sense. Theres 7 maps, they wouldnt give almost a third of the game away for free. Supposedly all clan, weapon support is there in the beta too. Id be surprised. Things are rarely given away for free...

The other reason I heard was because PS3 does all their updates on Thursdays. But obviously Slant 6 would have known this before making a beta release date.

I think MGS BETA was totally independent from Sony....

I think what happened with MGO beta was on Thursday when the store updated, the were able to download the beta with the beta code. Then on Monday, I think, they were able to get on and play it. I'm hoping the same sort of thing happens here. So we can download it a day before then jump on it on Friday.

The first day of downloading/playing is going to be an online clusterfuck on so many levels.

even if you don't get the beta in time I doubt you'll be missing much on the first few days with all the lag and server bugs

The socom 3 beta I was in was fine. The only problem was you would get kicked after playing like 3-4 games. other then that the lag was alright and game was good. im being positive about this =)

Thats true but ti was also much more limited. Do ya remember the first month of S3? Servers would crash every day for hours........
