In-Game Clan Challenge System seems pretty good.

Classic camera wont be available upon release. Its still 3rd person, but its closer to the player than in previous Socoms. They will likely add an option on camera views further down the road.

Grenade arc and d-pad lean likely wont be in release

There will not be pistols. You will get 2 primary weapons ie assault rifle and shotgun.

Classic mode will have "cover" on.

There is no more "Push to Talk". Its "Tap to Talk" now. You tap the d-pad and it gives you the mic for 10 seconds.

Ohh pistols only.. It takes me back to the old SOCOM days. Most of you probably don't know what I am talking about so I will explain.

Pistols only were games that had explosives turned off and all other weapons besides pistols, smokes and flashbangs were restricted. Before I ever even started to play with any you guys I used to play pistols only in S2/S3. You might ask why would you just play with your pistol? Whats the point? Well in SOCOM, sometimes people get tired of getting naded/sniped right when your walking out of your spawn or some fucker goes around shooting 203, or a guy gets lucky by spraying 50 bullets at you and manages to hit you once in the head. I found it to be very addicting and I really enjoyed it more than playing autos, it was a lot more fun for me. I liked the fact that you had a certain amount of ammo and you couldn't go around wasting all of it, that you had to time your shots and and actually aim. It took skill and strategy. It was also a very cool community, we had wars and played against each other just like any other non-pistol clan would. It was fun and everyone knew and followed the rules which were: No Model-18s or SP-10s, if you had one and killed someone with it you'd get either immediately kicked or if the people were nice, then a stern warning. We usually met in US East or East 1.

And that if why I am very aggravated about them removing pistols completely from the game.

What is the logic of making a "classic" mode aimed at pleasing old fans if nothing about it is classic? I really wonder how the forums explain exactly what old fans want in classic mode, yet they still fuck it up massively and somehow still hold a job?

Is it 10 seconds each time someone goes to talk or can you tap to turn talk off? 10 seconds is a long time for a mic to be open if what you say is only 2 seconds long. That's going to tie up the communication if thats the case.

Good to know, that's even better.

That seems like a good idea, if it wasn't up on the D-pad to talk.
