I need your guys's help something bad.

Ok so as you guys know my PS3 got stolen, well last thursday and friday the people who stole it logged on, and downloaded things, I don't know what you guys could do but those of you who have Etch925 as a friend try to party up and message try to get some sort of information out of them like at the very least a damn address I don't know how dumb the person who did this is but I'm assuming pretty dumb if they logged on and bought shit, so if you guys could please IDK just try and do something. My girlfriend will buy me a new PS3 but id rather she wouldn't have to I want my baby back lol

What you need to do is report it to sony. Did you keep the receipt? Do you still have the original box? If so it will have a serial number. And that serial number is the key to locating your PS3. Thats very good news that they purchased something. That means that they used a credit card. And that card is on file along with a name, address number etc. Unless it was your card that was still on file that they used. In that case, I believe your screwed.. But don't fret just yet! There might be another way to find it. If that PS3 is hooked up to a wifi network you'll be able to locate it, that is if you were to possess the technical computational skills required to pull off such a thing.

SO contact sony, give them the serial number, tell them about your situation and that it has been stolen. Even if is your card they might be able to track the system down because its active again. If its their card, it should be even easier to track down. Hope you find those dumb asses.

Hells yeah I still have the original box I totally forgot to look there because that's at my parents house I will call tomorrow morning as soon as I get up the number for customer service type stuff opens at 8 I didn't even think of that, thank you I was losing hope til I got that e-mail man thanks so much.

Also, if you have the MAC address of the system they'd be caught instantly. However, who the hell writes that down?

I know I wish I would have and will be writing that kind of thing down from now on. LOL

I doubt they are that stupid. Most likely scenario is they sold it to someone who doesnt know its stolen. You should still be able to get it back regardless though.

Well yeah that's what I was thinking as well, that they just sold it and person is just using it, but it's stolen so like you said and like I was telling my girlfriend yesterday it's stolen property and I'll get it back regardless.

Called Sony they said I needed to give cops all the info, like the serial number and they'd have to call and get something done, I apparently have no control, and I'm still waiting for a call back from a detective so that I can give them the serial number seriously been waiting all day. I'm starting to just get mad, I'm about to hack some peoples stuff...oh wait I'm not that cool V_V

The credit card I have attached that they have tried to use was attached to an account that got overdrawn and has since gone to collections so it doesn't work I keep checking seeing if they are dumb enough to add own info time will tell even if I get a new PS3 at this point the satisfaction of catching/ getting my stuff back makes me happy, all they have done is download demos, and play little big planet and it looks like they've been doing it since the day they stole it, and all my friends are gone off my list it looks like according to the playstation website, if I find out that it is someone I know I'm going to beat the ever living piss out of them and then ofcourse take my stuff, I'm getting all worked up I need to do something to get my mind off of things.....NBA street vol.2? >_>

It's just a ps3, in all honesty, get a new one and move on w ur life. Youve prob wasted more hours trying to get it back than u would need at work to get a new one.

Well here's the thing I work at home, and the money I make mostly goes to bills and rent. My girlfriend says she'll buy me a new one when she gets her tax money, and since she hasn't gotten it yet that is why I'm spending my days trying to get it back, but at the very minimum I just want to know I'm more interested in the TV that was stolen along with my PS3....so yyeeeaahh
