S3/CA the maps were too big and plucked from the single player which made them uneven and they made just about every gametype for each map, some maps weren't made to be played as extraction, escort, etc. The only thing I liked about these games were the weapon attachments and making the weapons a little more rounded.
It sounds like Slant 6 is going down the right road but I don't think body armor, sprinting, melee, are necessary. Again, there is no need to reinvent the wheel. If anybody was going to change anything, I wish Infinity Ward would get rid of respawn, add a real clan system and friend's list, and make it 3rd person.

I agree, Infinity Ward did well with COD4.

Yeah. Those were the days. SOCRACK. Man it was awesome when I didn't have 5 kids to worry about back in the day (I only had 2 then....LOL). I played for 24 hrs straight one day on S2 just to say I did it.
I loved S2 even more than S1. I hope Confrontation feels like S2 but with pimp graphics and gameplay from the next-gen PS3. I can deal with a few 'new' things such as melee attack and sprinting, but I hope the gameplay "feel" that the original SOCRACK had returns.....if it does, watch out, this game will be HUGE.
