Official BETA Start Dates and Bomb Squad Details

•On March 15th, a private beta goes live. We’ll be contacting eligible players soon.

•Beginning March 22nd, PlayStation Plus members will gain access to the beta.

•On March 29th, anyone with a beta code included with Killzone 3 gains entry.

•Starting April 5th, the beta will be freely downloadable to anyone via PlayStation Network.

Bomb Squad
In Bomb Squad, Insurgents have planted a number of bombs around the map and the Spec Ops team must defuse them all before time runs out. What makes Bomb Squad special is that it features the unique Bomb Technician character, played by one member of the Spec Ops team, who is charged with defusing the explosives. He carries both an automatic shotgun and a mobile grenade launcher and is very heavily armored, making him a deadly force on his own; that said, the technician is still an open target any time he turns his back to defuse Insurgent bombs. Succeeding in Bomb Squad requires tactics, teamwork, patience and confidence to get the job done, all pillars of the overall SOCOM experience.

For those of you who dont know: Playstation Plus is $17.99 for 3 months. Im most likely buying that to get the extra 2 weeks in.

Ouchhh!!! That sucks for anyone who spent $20 for the beta code. (Ebbs) I think I might also do that playstation plus thing, either that or wait till April 5th.

Bomb squad sounds... Different

I'm gonna wait a few days before I sign up for Plus. When they run the private Betas for Sony exclusives I never miss an invite. So glad I signed up to be a Playstation Underground member when I was a kid, then was invited into the Gamer Advisory Panel, which has pretty much become their private beta selection list.

I like the sounds of bomb squad and I hope that you can't choose who the bomb tech is. They had an escort mode on Rainbow Six Vegas 2 that was similar, only you had zero armor and just a pistol. They made it so you could choose who was the VIP for one week and people always fought over it and teamkilled because of it so it was made random every round. Hope that's the route zipper goes with this.

Hopefully I'll get a G.A.P. Invite as well.

Yeah, March 20-25. I just tried on a couple pairs of my board shorts and they are tight as shit. I gotta get un-fat real quick. I need to drop 5lbs in the next 2 weeks.

Guess I'm going to have to go with the playstation plus for 3 months then eh? Good thing I'm having a decent amount of fun with Killzone and playing a lot of Fight Night should keep me happy V_V lol

Going Play Plus 3 month...unless they save me a private invite for the 15th. With my reputation and all, I would be suprised if I don't get a personal invite! LOL I'll tell you guys what it is like after the 15th. Muuuhahahaha
