GOT MY PS3 AND SOCOM

No headset. Just played one round and turned it off. Dinner time. Since my schools is out because of the terrible wild fire that only a couple miles away from me (I am on voluntary evac right now, it's close!) i will be on during the day!

Here's info btw on the wild fires! I parked my car on the side of this overpass on one of the highways last night and just saw an inferno man, whole sky was orange. Got worse today.

I have a question. Will i be getting a blu-ray picture on my LCD HDTV without an HDMI cable attatched from the the PS3? I can just have the three AV Input cables, and that is blu-ray?

Im not sure, I have the same question. What I do know is that your LCD has to be 1080p to have the full Blu-Ray effect.

Blu Ray is a disc. To get 1080p (progressive) you need an HDMI cable, you can can still get high def with a component cable 720p and 1080i (interlaced). For $6 got to monoprice.com and pick up an HDMI cable.

Put it this way, I wouldn't even play my ps3 without an HDMI cable and I'm dead serious. The difference is night and day. And be aware of "gold" HDMI cables and all the other gimmicks, theyre all the same just find the cheapest one you can but make sure it reaches your TV from your ps3 as I had to learn the hard way.

Should be the only one you need. Wow, If that was what you were using before you're going to notice a huge difference.

But Audio, i went to play a BluRay movie and there was no picture without the three component cables in as well. I checked all my HDMI inputs and i nothing showed. A picture and sound showed up on AV2 not one of the HDMI 1-3

Did you change your AV settings on the menu of the PS3? Sound settings change it to HDMI, and Video settings I think is BD/DVD video output, change that to automatic, afterward it should say (HDMI) after video output in the menu. That should do it. When you do this try leaving the component cables attached as well as the HDMI that way you will see things no matter what, after you make the changes in settings, pull the component cables from the PS3 to verify what you are seeing and hearing is going through the HDMI. I think there is a 30 second test when you change video settings where it will ask you if you are seeing the picture, where if you answer yes it will make the change, if you don't do anything it will go back to your current settings.
